For the first time this season, Fort Meade will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Moore Haven Terriers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Meade's defense has only allowed 6.8 points per game this season, so Moore Haven's offense will have their work cut out for them.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Fort Meade and Victory Christian Academy meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again last Friday. The Miners secured a 14-10 W over the Storm. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Miners were the (much) better team in the second half.

It was another big night for Jayden McCutchen, who threw for 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 72 yards on only six carries. A healthy portion of McCutchen's aerial production (85 yards to be exact) went to Omari Russell.
Fort Meade didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Victory Christian Academy to a completion percentage of just 36.4%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Trent Willis, Daivion Borders, and Jesus Perez, who each logged one passes deflected. Fort Meade wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 51.6%.
Fort Meade's defense also made the game a nightmare for Cru Slocum, racking up eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Antonio Glover and Ty Montsdeoca, who racked up five sacks between them. Josiah Mitchell was another major factor on D, making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, while Moore Haven put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for Marathon. The Terriers were the clear victors by a 26-0 margin over the Dolphins. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Terriers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Moore Haven's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Fort Meade, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Fort Meade came up short against Moore Haven in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 13-9. Will the Miners have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other football content.
