With a playoff win on the line, Gruver rose to the challenge on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Albany Lions as they made off with a 9-1 win. Considering the Greyhounds have won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Gruver's victory bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Albany, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8-3.

Coming up, Gruver will square off against Stamford on Saturday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Greyhounds surely won't give up without a fight. Albany does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
