Ringgold is 8-2 against Murray County since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. Ringgold will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Ringgold not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 22, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Christian Heritage with a sharp 3-0 win.
While Ringgold won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-14, 27-25.
Olivia Jackson and Kinsley Killingsworth were among the main playmakers for Ringgold as the former had nine digs and the latter had seven digs and two assists.
Ringgold was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Murray County earned a 2-0 victory over Rockmart on Tuesday.
Murray County never let Rockmart on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 26-24.
Ringgold's win bumped their record up to 27-9. As for Murray County, their victory bumped their record up to 12-21.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: Ringgold has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Murray County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.5 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
