The Uniondale Knights's four-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Monday. They managed a 39-33 victory over Freeport. That's another feather in the cap for Uniondale, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Defeat or not, Freeport got some senior leadership from Jevon Saul who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks and Jaylen Jean-Louis who scored eight points. Saul also grabbed two steals for the first time this season.
Even though they lost, Freeport were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
The victory got Uniondale back to even at 1-1. As for Freeport, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Uniondale will be home for the holidays to greet Hempstead at 5:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Freeport, they will head out on the road to face off against Oceanside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
