Louisville and Auburn are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Louisville Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Auburn Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Louisville's and Brownell Talbot's matchup on Saturday was close at halftime, but Louisville turned on the heat in the second half with 37 points. Louisville put the hurt on Brownell Talbot with a sharp 54-33 victory.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Louisville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jase Ostblom, who scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Biesterfeld, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Auburn beat Freeman 49-38 on Friday.
Louisville's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Auburn, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Louisville was taken down by Auburn 66-19 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Louisville was down 45-15.
