The Antlers Bearcats suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Wright City, falling 75-21. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Antlers in their matchups with Wright City: they've now lost seven in a row.
Madison Carter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wright City, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. Carter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Mia Reich was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists.
Antlers' loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Wright City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-2.
Antlers will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Wright City at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Wright City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Antlers likes a good challenge. As for Wright City, they will be playing at home against Antlers at 6:30 p.m. Antlers will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 295th, while Wright City is ranked 27th).
