Arabia Mountain was led to victory by Joseph Smith and Julian Shanks. Smith scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks, while Shanks scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Shanks' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dewayne Shealey, who scored 8 points.
Heritage's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Armond Smith, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kirk Seeley, who scored 11 points.
Arabia Mountain's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Heritage, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Arabia Mountain will head out on the road to face off against Villa Rica at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Heritage, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Salem at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Salem's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
