The Hamilton Bulldogs stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 50-21 win over Italy on the road. Winning may never get old, but Hamilton sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Hamilton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addy Massingill, who scored 14 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Massingill hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Kelton Wright, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Italy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Landry Janek. Despite the final result, she scored six points along with 16 rebounds. Janek is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in the last three games she's played.
Hamilton has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. As for Italy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hamilton will take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley Mills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 924th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 314th). As for Italy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Wampus Cats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
