EJ Smith, son of the NFL's career rushing leader Emmitt Smith, rushed for 164 yards and four touchdown as
Dallas Jesuit shocked defending Texas 6A-2 champion and No. 23 Longview 27-25 on Friday night.
Smith scored on runs of 41 and seven yards early as Jesuit led from start to finish. According to the
Dallas Morning News, Jesuit ran out the final 8:28 of the fourth quarter to secure the 6A-2 second-round playoff win.
The younger Smith is ranked the third best all-purpose back in the country by 247Sports. Florida, Georgia and Ohio State stand out among his 22 scholarship offers.
Jesuit (8-4) faces Klein Collins in regional play next week.
