The Williamsville East Flames lost against the Sweet Home Panthers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Williamsville East lost to Sweet Home at home by a decisive 62-46 margin. Williamsville East has not had much luck with Sweet Home recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Sweet Home had a senior duo take command as Amber Murak scored 24 points along with five rebounds and Morgan Popp scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Murak has scored at least 25% of Sweet Home's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Talynn Harris, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Williamsville East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sweet Home, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Williamsville East will head out on the road to face off against Starpoint at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sweet Home, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Seneca West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
