Brockton is 0-10 against Plentywood since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The two teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Brockton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Montana Rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Plentywood is ranked 25th).
Even though Brockton has not done well against Lambert/Richey recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Brockton snuck past Lambert/Richey with a 49-45 victory. The victory was just what Brockton needed coming off of a 74-54 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Plentywood put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Culbertson 67-32 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Plentywood has posted yet this season.
The victory got Brockton back to even at 3-3. As for Plentywood, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.
Brockton was dealt a bruising 75-45 loss at the hands of Plentywood when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Brockton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
