On Friday, the Emmett Huskies were able to grind out a solid victory over the Burley Bobcats, taking the game 42-35.
Sammy Howe went supernova for Emmett, rushing for 170 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 49 receiving yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave Howe a new career-high in rushing yards. Emmett also got a significant boost from Lincoln Thayn, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 139 yards.
He was just one part of a punishing run game: Emmett was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 344 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 188 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.
