Make it four blowout wins for the Rome Free Academy Black Knights this season. They claimed a resounding 97-62 win over Henninger on the road. The win was familiar territory for Rome Free Academy who now have seven in a row.
Uzziah Grimes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 37 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Deandre Neal, who scored nine points along with 13 steals and five rebounds.
Rome Free Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Henninger, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rome Free Academy will challenge Oneida at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Oneida will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 398th, while Rome Free Academy is ranked 27th). As for Henninger, they will head out on the road to take on Fulton at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Fulton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matches -- so hopefully Henninger likes a good challenge.
