After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Riverside, the Mountain View Lobos were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They really took it to Fabens for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-35 victory on the road. With Mountain View ahead 29-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Leading Mountain View to victory were Jared Maciel and Julian Escobedo. Maciel scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Escobedo scored 22 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Slosar, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Mountain View has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-18 record this season. As for Fabens, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.
Mountain View will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. San Elizario will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Fabens will take on the Fighting Irish at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cathedral knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully the Wildcats likes a good challenge.
