The Casa Roble Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Valley Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Casa Roble has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 518 points over their last seven games.
Even though Las Plumas scored an imposing 62 points on Tuesday, Casa Roble still came out on top. Casa Roble took their match against Las Plumas 72-62. Given Casa Roble's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Las Plumas is ranked 365th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Casa Roble can attribute much of their success to Travis Remly, who scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds, and Moses Oginni, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 10 rebounds. The matchup was Oginni's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Maher, who scored 10 points along with 8 assists.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Valley, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were outmatched by Churchill County on the road and fell 71-44.
The losses dropped Casa Roble to 5-2 and Las Plumas to 4-4.
Casa Roble came up short against Valley in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, falling 66-53. Can Casa Roble avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
