Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sebastian River). They enjoyed a cozy 58-43 win over the Wesley Chapel Wildcats on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sharks.

Sebastian River found their leader in sophomore Destiny Pickard, who went 7 for 9 on her way to 20 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Pickard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Davione Stinson, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Sebastian River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive matchups.

Sebastian River has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Wesley Chapel, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Sebastian River will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against South Fork at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. As for Wesley Chapel, they will face off against Tampa Catholic at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tampa Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season.
