After a string of three wins, the Academy of Careers & Exploration Eagle's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 59-37 walloping at the hands of Hesperia Christian. Academy of Careers & Exploration has not had much luck with Hesperia Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Arlan Koester was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds for Hesperia Christian. Koester is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Noah Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Academy of Careers & Exploration's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Hesperia Christian, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Academy of Careers & Exploration will square off against Victor Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hesperia Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Riverside Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Riverside Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Tuesday.
