This season hasn't been kind to the Burton Scorpions , who are still winless after their fourth game. They were beaten by New Designs Watts 120-19 on Thursday. Burton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 63-9.
New Designs Watts was led to victory by Kevione Fitz and Martavius Watson. Fitz scored 30 points, while Watson scored 33 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Watson has scored at least 25% of New Designs Watts' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Magic Haynes, who scored 17 points.
Burton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for New Designs Watts, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burton will square off against Animo Watts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Animo Watts focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Thursday. As for New Designs Watts, they will head out on the road to face off against Animo Pat Brown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
