The Lowndes Academy Rebels put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They breezed by Crenshaw Christian Academy at home to the tune of 49-2. The result was nothing new for Lowndes Academy, who have now won eight matchups by 29 points or more so far this season.
Lowndes Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-8 Macon-East Montgomery Academy and 1-10 Snook Christian Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 27.4% over those games). As for Crenshaw Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lowndes Academy will take on Hooper Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hooper Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Lowndes Academy is ranked 133rd). As for Crenshaw Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Snook Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Snook Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
