On Thursday, String Theory came up short against Penn Wood and fell 55-45.
Several String Theory players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jason Pezzetti, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. Pezzetti is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last 13 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawud Jones, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
String Theory's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Penn Wood, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
String Theory will be playing at home against Roxborough at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Roxborough knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully String Theory likes a good challenge. As for Penn Wood, they will head out on the road to face off against Interboro at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Penn Wood is coming into the matchup with three straight wins on the road, so Interboro is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
