The Mills Vikings fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 59-47 win over Aragon on Saturday. That's two games straight that Mills has won by exactly 12 points.
Mills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tanay Rai led the charge by scoring 19 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rai has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jefriel Bacorro, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Mills' victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Aragon, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10.
Mills will head out on the road to square off against the Mustangs at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Capuchino is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Aragon will take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
