Denton moved up to 539 from 626 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region I District 5.
The Broncos made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,350 from 6,438.
Denton's Cy Ward and Ke' von Buris have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Ward has thrown for 734 yards this season, while Buris has 12 catches for 240 yards. Corbyn Koiner from Azle leads the league in rushing with 444 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Hornets take on Guyer. Azle's offense has racked up 119 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Wildcats have allowed only 122 on the year.
A big matchup in 4A Region I District 5 this week will be when Wichita Falls takes on Brewer. At the moment, the Coyotes are in fourth, while the Bears are in second.
Wichita Falls suffered the largest drop in the standings this week, falling from first to fourth in the league.
