The Marion Swamp Foxes will head out on the road to take on the West Florence Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marion will be strutting in after a victory while West Florence will be coming in after a defeat.
Marion was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Manning on Tuesday. The Swamp Foxes blew past the Monarchs 18-1. Considering the Swamp Foxes have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kynnedi Jenkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (three).
