The biggest upset of the week belonged to Waynesfield-Goshen, who defeated 566th ranked Perry, 14-6. Brandon Turner caught 3 passes for 109 yards during the win.
Fans got a thrill when Lake Turner and Turner connected against the Commodores. The connection went for 76 yards, the longest such play in Northwest Central this season.
Connor Cotterman was a beast in the backfield as Riverside topped Upper Scioto Valley.
Cotterman was the best running back in the league this week. In 32 carries, he ran for 220 yards as the Pirates topped Jefferson Township. Tanner Lane also contributed to the rushing game with 106 yards on the ground.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Cavaliers' Nick Rourke and Westerheide have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Rourke has thrown for 1,521 yards this season, while Westerheide has 33 catches for 549 yards. Fort Loramie's Delaunte Thornton leads the league in rushing yards with 967.
The top two teams in Northwest Central will face off this week when first place Lehman Catholic takes on second place Fort Loramie. Last week, Lehman Catholic beat the Broncos, while the Redskins defeated Ridgemont.
Fort Loramie's Thornton is a mere 33 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 115 carries Thornton has accumulated 967 yard this year.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when the Cavaliers and Matt Burgbacher's team face off next week.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Redskins take on Lehman Catholic. Fort Loramie has allowed 94 points this season, while the Cavaliers have given up 98. The Redskins allowed 6 points last week as they beat the Golden Gophers.

Riverside scaled the state rankings by moving to 504 from 551 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Tim McGill's team was able to move up by topping the Rams 50-20.
