Baseball Recap: Dacula Has No Trouble Against Discovery

Dacula's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Discovery Titans. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Reiston Durham was a standout: he fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Dacula's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-3 (and 3-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Dzikowski, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Dacula was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .524. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Discovery only posted a batting average of .353.

Dacula has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. Discovery's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7.

Dacula will have a chance to go back-to-back against Discovery: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
