The Mesa Jackrabbits will be playing in front of their home fans against the Highland Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Highland took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Mesa, who comes in off a win.
Mesa took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Westwood as they made off with a 41-15 victory. The result was nothing new for the Jackrabbits, who have now won four games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Boogie Anetema looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 231 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Caleb Tafua also helped out with an impressive 101 receiving yards.
Mesa's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Ruben Reyes Robles refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Westwood's side was Ezekiel Estep, who forced one fumble and made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.
Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Highland after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Mountain View who ended up claiming the real prize. The Hawks took a 41-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Toros. While the Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Toros 7-0 in the first quarter.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Paiden Cash Dalhaug and Brady Goodman. Goodman had a great game and rushed for 138 yards and three scores. Meanwhile, Cash Dalhaug was balling out in the loss, throwing for 218 yards and three TDs.
Mesa is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.2 points over those games. As for Highland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
Mesa was dealt a bruising 34-7 defeat at the hands of Highland when the teams last played back in August of 2015. Thankfully for the Jackrabbits, Keegan Michelson (who threw for 128 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 66 yards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
