The Taconic Hills Titans will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Catskill Cats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Taconic Hills will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Taconic Hills barely beat Greenville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Titans never let the Spartans get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Friday.
Tristan Super made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Super was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-5. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Francis Conners-Schmid, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Jacob Alvarez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
Catskill had taken Hudson down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Cats fell just short of the Bluehawks by a score of 8-7. The loss was the Cats' first of the season.
Will Cummings made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Cummings is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Minkalis, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Taconic Hills pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 12.7 runs this season. As for Catskill, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Taconic Hills hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .352. However, it's not like Catskill struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Taconic Hills' way against Catskill when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Taconic Hills made off with a 10-0 win. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
