Central Connecticut I West recap November 5, 2013
Hall added to the longest winning streak in Central Connecticut I West this week by beating South Windsor, 42-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Southington took down Newington 56-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Stephen Barmore threw for 280 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 30 yards during the win.
The Blue Knights' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Tyler Hyde contributed 122 yards. Jasen Rose helped Southington's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 82 yards.
He went 17-26 with 0 interceptions.
Hyde was the best running back in the league this week. In 17 carries, he ran for 122 yards as Southington defeated the Indians. Zach Maxwell also contributed to the rushing game with 72 yards on the ground.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Mike Drury's team's Barmore and Jamele have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Barmore has thrown for 1,793 yards this season, while Jamele has 49 catches for 1,005 yards. Brad Helmkamp from Simsbury leads the league in rushing with 800 yards.
The Blue Knights led Central Connecticut I West in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on Newington. Barmore ran for 30 yards in the win.
