Andrew Beickman made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lincoln Hall, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Kaedyn Byerly was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Whitefield Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .516. However, it's not like Atherton struggles in that department as they've averaged .482. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Whitefield Academy might still be hurting after the 21-6 loss they got from Atherton in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
