Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Savannah Christian Raiders walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 51-26 win on Friday. Considering Savannah Christian has won ten matches by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Zo Smalls, who rushed for 214 yards and three touchdowns. Smalls is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played.
The victory (which was Savannah Christian's ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.33 points. As for Carver, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
Savannah Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cedar Grove at 1:00 p.m. on December 13th. Cedar Grove is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. Carver does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
