There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. Among the action were the efforts of Moses Brown's senior Michael Walsh, an offensive menace who scored five total TDs.
Can't Touch This
Moses Brown's 42 - 12 win over South Kingstown last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Michael Walsh. Walsh finished up with 298 yards passing and three rushing touchdowns. That performance made Walsh one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
No Stoppin 'Em
It was another game, another high-octane performance for North Smithfield/Mount St. Charles Academy last week (their 5th in a row). It picked up a decisive 'W' against Toll Gate, finishing up at 56 - 8. North Smithfield/Mount St. Charles Academy did have the odds in its favor, but the team did even better than the MaxPreps state rankings indicated. The combined 64-point effort made this the highest-scoring game in the power rankings for the week.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between East Greenwich (6th in the power rankings) and Woonsocket (3rd). The teams have their eyes fixed on the championship after last-week playoff conquests. Both Woonsocket and East Greenwich stole close ones from their previous opponents; this week, one of them will be paid back.
