After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Caurus Academy, the Academy with Community Partners Lions were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 63-39 margin over 91st Psalm Christian School. That's another feather in the cap for Academy with Community Partners, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Academy with Community Partners' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reymend Hernandez, who scored 23 points along with seven assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hernandez has scored all season. Ohzeaya Carson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds.
Academy with Community Partners is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for 91st Psalm Christian School, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Academy with Community Partners will head out on the road to take on Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
