After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rolla HomeSchool, Crosspoint Christian were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis 63-27 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-14.
James Murray continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 19 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jace Stroup, who scored 8 points along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis saw an underclassman step up: Kaleb Hardy scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Hardy scored a full 44.4% of Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis' points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Taureon Brown Jr was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
The win got Crosspoint Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crosspoint Christian will play host again and welcome New Life Christian, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eagle Ridge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
