Ridgeview came tearing into Wednesday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Beachside Barracudas. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly two runs.
Saige Bialek made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off ten hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, Nichole Deschamps was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was KK Crocker, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Ridgeview hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beachside struck out nine times.
The victory got Ridgeview back to even at 4-4. As for Beachside, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Ridgeview will venture away from home to take on Clay at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beachside, they will head out to challenge Tocoi Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Barracudas' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Toros have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
