The win was all the more spectacular given Northside Lions Sports Association's disadvantage in MaxPreps's football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 762nd in Texas, while Grand Valley Christian P is ranked 317th in Michigan).
Northside Lions Sports Association found their leader in underclassman Kohein Jergenson, who threw for 272 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes. Jergenson hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Karston Jergenson, who gained 102 total yards and two touchdowns.
Northside Lions Sports Association's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Grand Valley Christian P, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Northside Lions Sports Association will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Georgia Force Christian at 7:30 p.m. on November 18th. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Georgia Force Christian: 16.9, Northside Lions Sports Association: 17.5) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Grand Valley Christian P, they will square off against Louisiana Kings at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
