Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Business Engineering Science Tech

Business Engineering Science Tech hadn't done well against Towers recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Business Engineering Science Tech Eagles blew past the Towers Titans, posting an 85-54 win. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Business Engineering Science Tech had a senior duo take command as Jacob Mickell dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds and Joshua Mickell went 11 of 22 on his way to 25 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Jacob's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Dozier, who posted 13 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Business Engineering Science Tech was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Towers only racked up seven assists.

Despite the loss, Towers still got an impressive performance from Jalen Kelly, who had 14 points and three steals. Kelly has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cornelius Winfrey, who put up eight points and six rebounds.

Business Engineering Science Tech pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.2 points. As for Towers, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Business Engineering Science Tech and Towers should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Business Engineering Science Tech (ranked 74th) will meet North Clayton (ranked 379th) at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Towers (ranked 166th) will meet Clarkston (ranked 559th) at 2:30 p.m. on December 30th.
