Opp barely beat New Brockton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bobcats simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Gamecocks 49-7. Perhaps the best among them was Wesley Creel, who rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 146 yards and one TD on perfect 8-for-8 passing. The Gamecocks' leading receiver Anthony Silar was Creel's top target yet again, picking up 84 receiving yards and one score.
Opp has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 37.5 points this season. As for New Brockton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Opp wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 29-22 win against Pike County on the 12th. As for New Brockton, they have also already played their next contest, a 36-33 victory against Daleville on the 12th.
