The Elkins Elks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They beat Lincoln by the very same score they won with last week: 54-0. Fans of Elkins have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Elkins' win was their 11th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 10-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Huntsville and 0-10 Clarksville (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 41.3% over those games). As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
