The Thief River Falls Prowlers pushed their score all the way to 63 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-63 to East Grand Forks. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (59), Thief River Falls still had to take the loss.
Several Prowlers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Rosendahl, who scored 16 points along with nine assists. Rosendahl is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Rose, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Thief River Falls has fallen quite a ways from their 26-3 record last season and are now at 3-10. As for East Grand Forks, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thief River Falls will take on Barnesville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Barnesville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests. East Grand Forks' road trip will continue as they head out to face Sacred Heart at 4:30 p.m. on January 29th. Sacred Heart has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,175 points over their last 16 contests.
