Stringer (Miss.) snapped
Bogue Chitto (Miss.)'s 13-game winning streak, with a 21-7 victory on Saturday.
The Red Devils were up 14-7 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run in the second quarter.
With the win Stringer extended its winning streak to five games. SHS defeated the Tigers 24-12 last week.
Jimmie McNulty made a difference for the Bobcats. The senior ran for one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to three on the year.
Tevin Moore stood out for the Red Devils in the win. He ran for one touchdown. He has now scored 40 touchdowns on the season.
Bogue Chitto's lone touchdown came on a run by McNulty in the first quarter.
Stringer came in allowing an average of 19.1 points per game this season. The defense really stepped up, holding BC well below its season average of 33.8 points scored per game.
The Red Devils also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 31-18.
The defeat comes as a step back for Bogue Chitto, which notched a 25-22 victory over Pelahatchie in its previous outing.
