Beren Academy fell to Brazosport Christian 48-43. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Beren Academy in their matchups with Brazosport Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Elijah Burris, who scored 27 points along with two steals for Brazosport Christian. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Nelson, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Beren Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-3. As for Brazosport Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beren Academy will square off against Second Baptist University-Model at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brazosport Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Memorial Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th.
