St. Paul had lost 19 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 0-19 to make it 20. They fell just short of Oswego by a score of 12-10. On the bright side, the ten- run effort marked St. Paul's highest-scoring contest to date.

Oswego's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-14. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

For Oswego's part, Kadyn Reeves was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Reeves was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Wyatt McClure was a standout: he got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Brayden Stephens was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

While St. Paul had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
