Vanda Vareen, who rushed for four touchdowns.
After taking the lead on a punt return touchdown by
Brendon Scott in the first quarter, the Blue Tide led 26-0 at the half.
Scott and Vareen ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Yellowjackets.
Long County has struggled this season, allowing 33.9 points per game. However, Long County's defense stepped up, holding Jeff Davis above its season average of 10.6 points per game.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Ludowici school, which was coming off a 34-21 defeat at the hands of Toombs County in its previous game.
Long County (2-6) goes up against McIntosh County Academy in a AA Region 2 game matchup next week, while Jeff Davis (1-7) locks horns with Benedictine also in a AA Region 2 game.
