Downsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Forest Bulldogs. One positive for the Demons, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Downsville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Forest, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-13.

Downsville has already played their next matchup, a 21-20 loss against Haynesville on the 14th. As for Forest, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Family Community Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
