The Maxwell Panthers won the last time they faced the Esparto Spartans, and things went their way on Monday too. Maxwell blew past Esparto 57-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Maxwell.
Despite the loss, Esparto still got an impressive performance from Antonio Seastrunk Jr., who scored 32 points along with three steals. The game was Seastrunk Jr.'s sixth in a row with at least ten points. Cohen Sihapanya was another key contributor, scoring three points along with six rebounds.
Maxwell has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Esparto, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maxwell will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hamilton at 8:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Esparto won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
