Meanwhile, Denver South took care of business in their home opener. They snuck past Widefield with a 14-8 win. The score was all tied up at the break, but Denver South was the better team in the second half.
Denver South's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Thomas Jefferson's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Denver South can add another positive mark to their record or if Thomas Jefferson can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Denver South's step.
