Everything went their way against Pataula Charter Academy as Randolph-Clay made off with a 52-30 victory. Given Randolph-Clay's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Pataula Charter Academy is ranked 463rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Je'Sus Daniels continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaleen Gibson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Randolph-Clay has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Pataula Charter Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Randolph-Clay will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Calhoun County at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Calhoun County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Pataula Charter Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Miller County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Miller County is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.2 points per game.
