The Cypress Creek Coyotes were the 50-46 winner over the Zephyrhills Christian Academy Warriors when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Cypress Creek ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-41 walloping at the hands of the Warriors on Friday. Cypress Creek found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post seven fewer assists than your opponent.
Despite the loss, Cypress Creek still got an impressive performance from Jordan Constantine, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Constantine pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaden Saintelmy, who scored three points along with four steals.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy was led to victory by Rogers Jones and Xavier Perez. Jones dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Perez scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Jones is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordani Blanc, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Cypress Creek's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.
Cypress Creek will head out on the road to face off against the Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Zephyrhills Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Lions on Tuesday.
