The Plain Dealing Lions's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Green Oaks Giants at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-30, which was the final score in Plain Dealing's tilt against Homer on Thursday. Plain Dealing has not had much luck with Homer recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Green Oaks came up short against Loyola College Prep on Thursday and fell 41-34. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Green Oaks came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while Loyola College Prep is ranked 955th).
Plain Dealing's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Green Oaks, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-21 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Plain Dealing against Green Oaks in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 39-12 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plain Dealing since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
