Meanwhile, Dos Pueblos didn't have quite enough to beat Royal on Thursday and fell 7-5.
Like Oaks Christian, Dos Pueblos also got a great game from a two-way player: Juliana Brunner. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Brunner has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Oaks Christian hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Dos Pueblos struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Oaks Christian's way against Dos Pueblos in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, as Oaks Christian made off with an 8-0 win. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
